How to Switch to Good Nurse
Changing NDIS or Support at Home provider is simpler than most people think. We'll handle most of it for you.
People usually switch because they want more consistent workers, better communication, or a provider with real nursing expertise. Whatever the reason, you keep your funding and your choice of provider.
Switching NDIS providers
- Call us on 1300 457 557. A nurse talks through your plan, goals and support needs.
- Check your current service agreement for the notice period, then give notice in writing.
- We sign a new service agreement with you and, if you're NDIA-managed, set things up so we can claim for your supports.
- An RN assesses you at home and we plan a smooth handover so there's no gap in care.
Switching Support at Home providers
- Call us. We explain how Good Nurse delivers care as an official partner of Trilogy Care.
- Agree to move to Trilogy Care as your Support at Home provider; your classification and budget move with you.
- Give notice to your current provider. They can't charge you an exit fee.
- An RN visits, sets up your care plan, and your care continues with Good Nurse.
Frequently asked questions
Can I change NDIS providers at any time?
Yes. You choose your providers. Check your current service agreement for the notice period, which is often 2 to 4 weeks.
Will I lose my Support at Home funding if I change provider?
No. Your classification and budget move with you, and any unspent Home Care Package funds you had also move with you.
Do I need to tell My Aged Care?
Your new provider and My Aged Care handle the transfer once you agree to it. You don't need a new assessment just to change provider.
Is there a fee for leaving my current provider?
Support at Home providers can't charge exit fees. For NDIS, check your service agreement; you only pay for services delivered up to the end of the notice period.
