Tracheostomy & Ventilator Care at Home

Critical care experience in the home: ICU-experienced nurses plan your care, train your workers and stay on call.

Living with a tracheostomy or ventilator at home takes a team that never guesses. Good Nurse is registered with the NDIS for tracheostomy management and ventilator management, and our Registered Nurses bring critical care experience, including ICU. We plan for emergencies before they happen and make sure every worker can run your back-up plan.

How it works

  1. An ICU-experienced RN assesses you, your equipment and your advance care wishes.
  2. We write your support plan and emergency plan with you and your respiratory team.
  3. Workers are trained on your own circuit and signed off before working alone.
  4. RNs review regularly and are on call when something changes.

Funding

Tracheostomy and ventilator support are usually funded through NDIS Core Supports at a high intensity rate. We work with NDIA-managed, plan-managed and self-managed plans. Not sure what your plan covers? Call us and we'll go through it with you.

Tie changes are done by a qualified nurse with a second trained person assisting.

Can you work with my respiratory specialist?
